Congregation Beth Or, a reformed congregation, has a new home at their 59,000 SF facility on a 16 acre site.  McCloskey & Faber, P.C. assisted the design team with acquiring conditional use approval from Upper Dublin Township for the synagogue.  An existing pond was redesigned into a retention basin for the synagogue with a naturalized perimeter wetland planting to provide “best management practice” storm water management control and improve the environmental character of the site.  McCloskey & Faber, P.C. assisted in aligning internal driveways, parking areas, and retaining walls in order to preserve an existing border of large evergreen trees along the residential neighbors.  Playground facilities and outdoor plazas were designed to work in relation to the proposed building and the reworked pond area.  To compliment and work with the site’s sloping contours, numerous details were prepared for retaining walls and ornamental metal railing fences.  Congregation Beth Or completion: the Spring of 2006.
