As Landscape Architects for the Bloomsburg University Student Union Building, McCloskey & Faber, P.C. created a public plaza providing students with a comfortable space to meet, study and enjoy the outdoors. The plaza features a majestic beech tree, encircled by a large round planter/seat wall ringed with fiber optic lighting. The rear entrance to the building is integrated with the existing pedestrian circulation pattern, and a dry riverbed camouflages the underground steam tunnels, too harsh an environment for plantings. Our services for this project included design, documentation and field observation associated with the plaza, planters, seat walls, site grading, site lighting, and landscaping.
